“It has been a long time since anyone’s even heard the words “tad” and “morose” used together in a band’s name, but let’s remember that their last album, Modus Vivendi was released in 2003 and that was nearly ten years ago. Since that time many things have changed, including the band’s sound (it’s not full of synths this time) and their singer, who is no longer the fan-favored Urban Breed. A new voice by the name of Ronny Hemlin has taken up the mic and his performance on the album is arguably even better than that of Urban’s performance on the band’s older releases. The band seems to favor power/thrash this time around, much in the style of Brainstorm (dare I say it again) and with quite an uncanny resemblance. In fact, the resemblance is so close, that it feels like I’ve gotten a new Brainstorm record under another name and with a different vocalist. But I don’t have any problem with that, as Tad Morose seem to know all the right riffs and provide the right amount of punch in each of these songs to leave a lasting impression…”
